Projects

As part of my final project of the ‘Application Development’ course, I created the first openly accessible tool that calculates and aggregates the Depth-to-Water index, commonly used for hydrological modelling and soil moisture mapping.

This front-end programming project aimed to develop a live flight-tracking application using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the OpenLayers library. The aircraft information is sourced from the OpenSky Network REST API.

Leveraging advanced hydrological modelling, I produced a scientific paper which assesses the suitability of different topography-based indices for soil moisture estimation in the Salzach River floodplains.

This Story-Map collection showcases a series of assignments that explore various spatial analytics techniques. Among others, these include visibility analysis, solar power estimation, interpolation methods, and network analysis, all thoroughly documented.

I utilized a modern and effective Spatial Data Infrastructure to develop an interactive ArcGIS Insights Dashboard for monitoring Internally Displaced People in Sudan.

This project produced a short paper which applies landscape metrics to potential habitats of the Eurasian Lynx in Germany. Landscape metrics are commonly utilized for quantifying the structure, composition, and configuration of landscapes.

An interactive dashboard was developed leveraging ArcGIS Dashboards to visualize global CO2 emissions. The data dynamically updates based on the map extent and available filter options.

My bachelor thesis, which I conducted in cooperation with the viticultural biodiversity project “AmBiTo”, observed the influence of different viticultural weed management techniques on inter-row flowering mixtures.
